Gift of Music Initiative
Our Gift of Music Initiative provides custom-designed and specially curated monthly concert programs of approximately 40-45 minutes of music to nursing, independent living, assisted living, and continuing care facilities in the D.C. area. These concerts feature performances by world-class artists commissioned during the COVID-19 pandemic for our Virtual Concert series.
We are very excited about the chance to present our music as a way to give back to all of our mothers, fathers, grandparents, and friends from older generations who have given us such support and love over the years, and help to ease their pain of isolation at least a little! Each Gift of Music concert will be hosted and curated by Ellen Hwangbo with brief introductions of each featured work. Part of our mission is to bring all types of classical music together in unified programs, so each concert will have a mix of works for different instruments, styles, and artists coming from around the country and the world.
