About the Event
Our next performance features a very special appearance by one of today's most hyper-talented family ensembles, the Berofsky Piano Quartet! This parents-and-sons quartet features two generations of impeccable professional musicians, seasoned veterans combined with up-and-coming performers.
Aaron Berofsky and Kathryn Votapek, both alumni of the longstanding Chester String Quartet and the Juilliard School, now serve on the faculty of the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance. Eldest son Charles Berofsky, a prizewinning pianist and composer and graduate of the New England Conservatory, is now completing his graduate studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München. And the youngest, Sebastian Berofsky, is completing his studies at the Rice University Shepherd School of Music and is a laureate of the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition, among other major awards.
